The following respected community leaders share Triumph’s vision.
Gregory J. Carter grew up and lives in the 27th Ward where he is now Alderman. He was elected to the St. Louis Board of Aldermen in April, 1993 and has been Alderman of the 27th ward for nineteen years making this his fourth term in office. He is the son of Willie and the late Senator Paula J. Carter. Mr. Carter has two lovely children, Jennifer and Gregory II.

Rep. Chris Carter III, a Democrat, represents part of St. Louis City (District 61) in the Missouri House of Representatives.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Carter works as the Director of Intake for West End Clinic in St. Louis. In addition, he has worked as the Director of Community Affairs for the 61st District; District Assistant to Senator Jeff Smith; and as field organizer for U.S Senator Claire McCaskill.
Rep. Carter is the grandson of former state representative and state senator, Paula J. Carter, who served in the Missouri House from 1986 to 1999 and in the Senate from 2000 to 2001.
Rep. Carter is a member of the following organizations: Young Democrats, NAACP, NSBE, 100 Black Men, St. Louis C.A.N., NCCJ and the Paula J. Carter Foundation. In addition, he serves as a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters and is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.
A 1999 graduate of Soldan High School, Rep. Carter attended Alabama A&M University where he received a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
Born September 18, 1981 in St. Louis City, Rep. Carter is a lifelong resident of the 61st legislative district and currently resides there.
Corliss Burton grew up and lives in the 27th Ward and is a member of the St. Louis Metro Church of Christ. Her past work as a Community Outreach Mom with Healthy Start in the early 2000’s and her current role as a social worker with Family Care Health Centers demonstrates her commitment to being an advocate and champion for healthy moms and babies.

Corliss is dedicated to connecting women and families with resources and services they need to have a healthy baby. She can be reached during the day at 314-353-5190 extension 3121. In the 27th Ward she can be reached through the St. Louis Metro Church of Christ at 6079 West Florissant Road.
Judy Jamison lives in the 27 th Ward and has been a Registered Nurse for 35 years. During her profession she has worked with young mothers from adolescents through adult hood. As a nurse she has dealt with some very difficult life situation for teens. She has been involved with the Maternal Child Family Health Coalition and is currently employed by one of the partners of the Myrtle Hilliard Davis Comprehensive Health Centers, Inc.
